You Only Get Once Chance for the Pour!

In food photography, capturing the perfect pour is challenging. The composition, angle, props, background, and lighting have to be exactly set, and the stylist has to be ready when the photographer calls out "Okay, pour!"

A few weeks ago, one of our stylists captured this pour of drizzling melted butter onto a sumptuous lobster roll at Shannon's Unshelled, a "trap-to-table" roadside seafood restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. BTW, if you're lucky enough to be in Boothbay Harbor, check out Shannon's. We think they serve the best lobster rolls we've tried. It's the classic toasted roll heaped with fresh steamed lobster served with a melted butter and a lemon wedge. Shannon takes it up a notch with a crispy seafood slaw and piping hot French fries.
